Hey all! Meet my daughter Camara Lyn! She is the pride and joy of my life!! She was born on November 8, 1999. Please feel free to see the joy I have been blessed with! I am quite proud of her. She has grown so much since she was born! Please stop back by for any updates I may have.
Ultrasound was done at 17 weeks.

On Friday, July 30th, we went for the ultrasound to find out what the sex of our child is. The baby wasn't willing to let us find out. We found out that the baby was breech. We did see the baby's legs moving around though. We also saw the details of the baby's mouth and head. It was awesome watching our child move around. I can't wait till the baby is born.On August 20th, we went to the doctor's office for the ultrasound. When we got there, the receptionist said that we were not supposed to be there. The doctor was not going to be in that day. She showed us the appointment book and you can see where our date was erased and changed. She also went as far as to call my wife a liar when my wife told her our appointment was for the 20th. We got extremely upset and told them to stuff it. We don't need to know the sex of the baby anyways. It is our first one and it is going to be a surprise. So, everyone was kept in suspense until the baby was born.....just like we were!! Ha ha ha! LOL!
On Monday, November 8, at 8:35 am and after a six and a half hour labor, Camara Lyn was born. She was 21 inches long and weighed 7lbs and 8.5 ozs. Everyone was saying she looks just like me...ha ha! She is so beautiful! I am already getting my shotgun ready for those boyfriends!!
On Friday, December 10th, we found out that Camara has a medical problem. She aparently has a bad thyroid. Her thyroid works, but not at the rate it should. It is too slow. So, on Monday, December 13th, we have to take her to an endocrinologist. It is a good thing we caught this problem now. It could prove to be serious. She could become mentally retarted or die from it. She should be alright though. I will update you all later when there is more.
On Monday, December 10th, when we took Camara to the specialist, we found out that she probably will not have a problem with her thyroid. We are taking precautions in case the problem were to flare up. Right now she is just borderline and is better off than we were previously told!
On January 10, 2000 we took her back to the specialist. They concluded that there won't be a problem so she was released from their care forever!!! Woo hoooo!!
I know it has been awhile since I have updated, but being a father, a student, and a full time Postal Worker keeps me quite busy. Since the last update, Camara is now 2 and a 1/2. She loves to take daddy's cell phone and choose a random name in the phone book to dial and talk to! LOL! She loves to talk up a storm! She is very intellegent for her age! She knows as much as a typical 4 year old! I hope to get some film developed soon. Once I do, I will add some more pictures to this photo album! Please check back if you are interested!
